BSF Concludes 2025 Student Success Speaker Series With a Powerful Lesson on Social Skills
The Barrientos Scholarship Foundation successfully wrapped up the 2025 Student Success Speaker Series on Social Skills, bringing together students, educators, and industry leaders for a dynamic session focused on communication, connection, and leadership.
We were honored to be joined by Dr. Armando de Alba Rosales of UNMC and Carissa Rainey of Dale Carnegie, whose expertise helped students explore the social skills that shape academic and career success. From cultural awareness to strong communication habits, students walked away with insights they can apply immediately in school, work, and daily interactions.
Our BSF Business Student Ambassadors added excitement with a high-energy speed networking challenge, which encouraged students to practice quick introductions, active listening, and confidence in new social settings. Laughter, learning, and genuine connection filled the room.
We extend deep gratitude to our students, sponsors, board members, coordinators, and distinguished speakers for helping make the 2025 series a success.
The Student Success Series returns in March 2026 at UNO, with new workshops focused on strengthening communication, teamwork, leadership presence, and the social skills that open doors to opportunity.
