Available Scholarships:

Award recipients will be notified on or before May 15, 2026. Scholarship money will be sent directly to the college or university that you’re attending upon receipt of verification of your enrollment. By August 15, 2026, MCC award recipients must provide proof of enrollment. By July 15, 2026, all other recipients must provide enrollment information at a Nebraska college or university, or the scholarship will be revoked.

The following scholarships are open for application in 2026.

Cinco de Mayo Omaha/ Communications, Journalism, Marketing - $2,000

Clarkson College/ Healthcare - $2,500

JE Dunn/ Construction Mgt. & Trades at UNK, UNL, or UNO - 2 - $2,500

LEDC/ General $5,000

Lozafina/ General - $2,500

In Honor of Lucy Mora, Master’s (Any) - $2,500

MagicTouch/Eddie Sandoval, Nursing - $5,000

MagicTouch, Business - $2,500

SELECTION PROCESS

A Scholarship Review Committee meets to review and score all applications. Prior to review, copies of each application are made with the applicant's names removed in order to eliminate any bias by members of the committee. 

Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date are not considered eligible and are not reviewed/scored. 

AWARD ACCEPTANCE

On or before May 15, 2026, all winners will be notified via mail that they have been awarded a scholarship. The notification letter will include instructions on how to accept the award. Each winner will be asked to formally accept the award, affirming their intention to enroll in a Nebraska college or university during the Summer/Fall 2026 academic school year.

AWARD DISBURSEMENT

In order to receive the actual monetary award, the student must send us proof that they have enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university in Nebraska for the Summer or Fall of 2026. Failure to provide proof of enrollment during the specified time frame will void the scholarship. 

Upon receipt of proof of enrollment, a check will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the college or university. Under no circumstances will a check be sent directly to a student. The student will be responsible for following up with their financial aid office to verify that the scholarship was applied to their account.
