Ray and Rex Ekwall Scholarship

The Ray and Rex Ekwall Scholarships offer up to $12,000 each to support students aged 16 to 19 in earning their Private Pilot License. Funded through EAA Chapter 80 and designed for highly motivated youth, these scholarships help cover flight training costs for eligible candidates who are passionate about aviation. Applicants must possess or obtain an FAA medical certificate, begin flight training within 60 days of the award, and complete their training within a year. Recipients are also encouraged to stay involved with EAA activities and mentor future aspiring pilots. Applications are due by April 18, 2025.

ACT Prep at the Highlander

ACT Prep at Highlander is a free seminar designed to empower North Omaha high school juniors and seniors to approach the ACT with confidence. Presented in partnership with Aim High Test Prep, the program supports a variety of learning styles while providing in-depth review of core subjects, proven test-taking strategies, and repeated practice with the exam format.

Whether you’re taking the ACT for the first time or aiming to raise your score, this seminar will help you strengthen your skills, build confidence, and step into your future with readiness.
