Qualifications

There are a core set of qualifications for all scholarship applicants and there is one additional qualification for those seeking scholarships in the areas of the Arts, Medical, Education, or Business.

Core Qualifications

• Applicant must be of Latino heritage.
  
  
• Applicant must be a high school graduating senior during the current academic year, currently enrolled in college, or an adult ready to pursue college in the upcoming academic year.
  
  
• Applicant must plan to enroll in at least two (2) classes and attend an accredited community college, university, technical or vocational school in the state of Nebraska or surrounding greater Omaha Metropolitan area for the upcoming academic year.
  
  
• A minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA is required for current students.

Additional Qualifications, Arts, Medical, Education, Business

• Arts - Applicant must have a strong interest in pursuing higher education in the area of music, visual arts, theater, or dance.
  
  
• Medical - Applicant must have a strong interest in pursuing higher education in the area of nursing, therapy, medical research, or other medical practice.
  
  
• Education - Applicant must have a strong interest in pursuing higher education in the education industry as a teacher, counselor, or administrator.
  
  
• Business - Applicant must have a strong interest in pursuing higher education in the business industry as a business owner/entrepreneur, general manager, salesperson, marketing specialist, human resource specialist, financial specialist, or other related role.
