About Us |
|
The Barrientos Scholarship Foundation was established in 2005 in honor of the late, great Barrientos brothers to assist young Latinos in pursuing an
education. The Barrientos' migrated from Aguascalientes, Mexico in the late 1920s and eventually worked their way to Omaha, Nebraska where they
became widely recognized musicians in the Omaha music (Latino) scene.
It was through their inspiration that future generations of Barrientos family members were (and continue to be) driven to pursue higher education
while also recognizing the importance of giving back to their community.
